Altar Servers

Young people who assist at the altar during weekend liturgies as well as funerals, weddings and special liturgies. Children who are attending St. Emeric's Religious Education program or a Catholic school in another parish, are eligible to become an altar server in the 4th grade and up with proper training.

Art & Environment

Helps create beautiful artistic pieces to raise our minds to God through art.

Bible Study

Various ongoing programs share the Word of God. This study helps people come to a deeper understanding of God's Word in our lives. Consult the bulletin for more information or call the Parish Office.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Every other Sunday at the 10:30 AM Mass, the younger children of the parish are invited to leave mass with the catechist for reflection on the Word of God at an age-appropriate level.

Eucharistic Ministers

Assist at the liturgy in offering Communion. This ministry is carried out with reverence and respect for the Body and Blood of Christ as it is shared and as it is seen in the people assembled.

Funeral Luncheon/Sunday Hospitality

Offers a luncheon for families after funerals at Saint Emeric. Also takes responsibility for serving coffee, juice and snacks after Sunday liturgies, enhancing our sense of community. Also offers hospitality after All Soul's Day liturgy

Lectors

Music Ministry

Order Of Christian Education

PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter)

In fulfillment of our mission to assist the poor and homeless, St. Emeric participates in the PADS program. From October through April, we host a shelter for the homeless each Wednesday night. Volunteers to set up, cook, and supervise are needed. Only four hours per month are required of each volunteer.

Pastoral Care Ministers

Go to homes and hospitals to bring words of faith and prayer as well as the gift of Holy Communion. These ministers are an extension of the People of God as we assemble on Sunday. If you or someone you know needs Communion brough to them because of serious reasons, please call the Parish Office.

Religious Education

Parents are urged to make sure their child receives formal Catholic Religious Education. Contact the Director of Religious Education for information.

Special Religious Education for Developmentally Disabled Persons (SPRED)

Offers the opportunity to those who are developmentally challenged to come to know the love of God. Each "special friend" is taught and befriended by one person for a one-to-one relationship.

St. Vincent de Paul Conference

Works to alleviate difficulties encountered by local people because of unemployment or tragedy. Donations of cash or foodstuffs can be left at church and we have a clothing drop box in the parking lot. If you are in need, don't hesitate to call the Parish Office and we will put you in touch with folks who can help!
